Just a reminder to all ramen fans! Pork bone broth is "TONKOTSU", NOT "TONKATSU". TonkAtsu is breaded deep fried port cutlet, not pork bone broth!!
Hint: If a server says Tonkatsu Ramen at a restaurant, don't expect authentic ramen. Ton = Pork🐷, kotsu = Bone🍖

Takaichi Ramen - Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ🇺🇸 たかいちラーメン - ホーホーカス、ニュージャージー

New ramen shop, just opened this week in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ. 
I tried the White Ramen $13.00.  Menu said it was chicken and pork broth.

Nice clean interior. 22 table seats and 7 counter seats

I went around 5:00pm and there were plenty of free street parking.  Maybe difficult to find parking during peak hours.

Tatsu Ramen - East Village, NY🇺🇸 タツラーメン - イーストビレッジ、ニューヨーク

New York Ramen

Tatsu Ramen just opened in East Village in end of July 2018. They are a popular ramen shop from LA and this is their first east coast shop.
2018年7月末にマンハッタン イーストビレッジにオープンしたタツラーメン。ロスで人気のラーメン店でイーストコーストでは初の店舗。

They offer different soup base, tonkotsu, chicken, vegan, etc.  I ordered their Chicken Paitan $14.50. East Village price.
スープは豚骨、鶏白湯、ビーガンなど色々。今日は鶏白湯を注文。 $14.50 - イーストビレッジ価格。

Ordering is done on the iPad, very modern.  注文はiPadで、とてもモダンな感じ

They don't serve alcohol and is more of a quick place to get your ramen fix

Menkoi Sato - West Village, NY🇺🇸 麺恋佐藤 - ウエストビレッジ、ニューヨーク

Menkoi Sato, from Sapporo, Japan just opened their NYC shop in July 2018.  They specialize in their original chicken paitan soup, offered in shoyu, miso and shio. They import their noodles from the famous Nishiyama Seimen which specialized in Sapporo Ramen.

For my first visit, I tried their miso ramen.
