Just a reminder to all ramen fans! Pork bone broth is "TONKOTSU", NOT "TONKATSU". TonkAtsu is breaded deep fried port cutlet, not pork bone broth!!
Hint: If a server says Tonkatsu Ramen at a restaurant, don't expect authentic ramen. Ton = Pork🐷, kotsu = Bone🍖
アメリカでは豚骨の事をなぜか”とんかつ”という人がたくさんいます。。気になってしょうがない。トンコツって覚えてちょうだい!!

Menya Jiro - Financial District, NYC

Menya Jiro - Financial District, NYC

Serving tonkotsu ramen from Kagoshima. Their ramen won the NYC ramen contest in 2016 and 2017. This tonkotsu is not as heavy as the Hakata Tonkotsu but has its own excellent flavor.  This location is more like cafeteria style, located within a bento shop so I assume it is very crowded for lunch.
