Just a reminder to all ramen fans! Pork bone broth is "TONKOTSU", NOT "TONKATSU". TonkAtsu is breaded deep fried port cutlet, not pork bone broth!!
Hint: If a server says Tonkatsu Ramen at a restaurant, don't expect authentic ramen. Ton = Pork🐷, kotsu = Bone🍖

Nishida Shoten - Midtown East, NY 🇺🇸

New York Ramen

It's been a while since I have been to Nishida Shoten in Midtown East so I decided to go today.
It's a small shop with tight counter seats and some tables, somewhat like small shops in Japan.
I had their White ramen, which is their basic tonkotsu ramen with kakuni pork. Comes with 2 pcs kakuni, half ajitama, nori, onions, bok choy, and scallions
Thin straight noodles  細麺
Ramen menu - price not bad for Manhattan
Summer cold noodle menu
Storefront - I noticed after I ate that they also opened a Chicken soup based ramen shop right next door.
On corner of 2nd and 49th

The prices here are reasonable. They are open late so may be good for the younger crowd on a night out.

Mon - Sat 11:30am - 4:00am, Sun 11:30am - 2:00am
