Just a reminder to all ramen fans! Pork bone broth is "TONKOTSU", NOT "TONKATSU". TonkAtsu is breaded deep fried port cutlet, not pork bone broth!!
Hint: If a server says Tonkatsu Ramen at a restaurant, don't expect authentic ramen. Ton = Pork🐷, kotsu = Bone🍖

Menya Jiro - Financial District, NYC🇺🇸

Menya Jiro today, serving Kagoshima Tonkotsu style ramen. One of my favorites in NYC. I had the Ibusuki Ramen today.
Overall balance is excellent. I would say the soup is souper good!
Medium thick noodles, very good.  Chashu is one of the best around here.  Bean sprout and lots of scallion are good match. I added the ajitama (egg) for $2.
Counter with ramen pics.

World Trade Center view right by the shop.
Right by Fulton St. station.

Must try if you are in New York!!
