Just a reminder to all ramen fans! Pork bone broth is "TONKOTSU", NOT "TONKATSU". TonkAtsu is breaded deep fried port cutlet, not pork bone broth!!
Hint: If a server says Tonkatsu Ramen at a restaurant, don't expect authentic ramen. Ton = Pork🐷, kotsu = Bone🍖

Ramen Shop Chinatown - Akita City, Akita 🇯🇵 チャイナタウン - 秋田県秋田市

Today I visited Ramen Shop Chinatown, which is famous for their Miso Chanpon. This is an original ramen in this area, different from the typical Chanpon from Nagasaki.
今日は秋田市のラーメンショップ チャイナタウンに行って来ました。秋田名物のみそチャンポンで有名なお店です。
Miso Chanpon - Lots of vegetables, pork, squid, and shrimp. Very generous amount.
みそチャンポン - 野菜たくさん、豚肉、イカにえび。量は結構多いです。
Thick noodles, good texture and goes well with the thick miso soup
History of Miso Chanpon - It was first served in December 1984, using miso made in Akita prefecture.
